Mr. Kwiatkoski has 30 years of experience in the municipal bond and financial guaranty industries. He was part of the founding management team of the bond insurer CIFG where he was a Managing Director and served as its Head of Surveillance from 2000 to 2008. In this role he was in charge of workouts for the distressed credits insured by CIFG, and also co-managed the firm’s rating agency relationships. Prior to CIFG, Mr. Kwiatkoski was an Executive Vice President at Enhance Financial Services Group (now part of Radian Group Inc.) where he managed their municipal bond insurance business. Mr. Kwiatkoski has also worked for Moody’s Investors Service in their municipal ratings group. He began his career working for the State of New Jersey as a budget analyst at NJ Transit.
Mr. Kwiatkoski now manages FG Research LLC, a consulting firm he founded, with Frank Lackner.
Mr. Kwiatkoski has an MPA from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and an A.B. degree from the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. He also holds the CFA charter.
